Flynn Drops in on Spadea

Retired general Michael Flynn dropped into New Jersey Friday night to give a boost to Bill Spadea.
"We need people who are willing to stick their necks out. We need people who are fearless," Flynn said of Spadea in a telephone conference call.
What the state does not need, Flynn said, is a "stale politician." He did not mention Jack Ciattarelli, who is leading the GOP polling, by name but the reference was obvious.
Flynn, of course, has had a spotty history. He was Donald Trump's national security advisor for less than a month. He was fired and eventually pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Trump ultimately pardoned him.
Nonetheless, Flynn has emerged as a star in right wing circles.
While Ciattarelli was endorsed by Donald Trump, Spadea insists that he (Spadea) is the true MAGA conservative in the primary.
As he has done throughout the campaign, Spadea complained about "weak Republicans" and the danger they pose. He lumps them in with "woke Democrats."
Regarding Trump's endorsement, Spadea said the president "endorsed a poll." He stressed that he's been with Trump since "the escalator."
He said that like Trump, he is a "true outsider."
And despite Trump's endorsement, Spadea said he will be the real ally of the president in Trenton, contending, "I am a fighter."
Spadea referred to Ciattarelli as a "desperate, weak and aging man."
Spadea is no stranger to this type of rhetoric. But with the primary only a few days away, he seems to have ratcheted things up a bit.
For instance, Spadea lashed out at Ciattarelli's campaign, saying his consultants were lowlifes.
In general, Spadea summed up what he's been saying all along - the state is in awful shape and he can fix it.
And he will start on day one with executive orders..
